Those of you in the know, any good local joints to eat at over this weekend. Making a trip for my sons karate tournament, and like interested local places to spend money.

Someone can chime in on the Winona bakery- I've never been there but I sure have heard a lot of good things about it.

For some suggestions, here's a thread with some food and entertainment options in NSIC cities. It's two years old so maybe some things have closed, but I imagine it's still fairly accurate-

        Roccos pizza is a staple.
Sliced has pizza, wings, and good sandwiches.
Signatures Grill has a bar and grill type of menu but without the overly greasy food and a nice patio area to be outside.
The Boathouse is right on the river and has good fish and juicy Lucy.
Signatures and Nosh are good if want a nicer and fancier atmosphere.
Go to Bloedows Saturay mornint and prepare have your mind blown.
I haven't seen there yet but we have a Vietnamese place that people like called Norvary.

I think I have eaten everything there, I might add
El Patron Mexican Grill & Cantina
          The Black Horse

If you want something cheap for ice cream or snacks try Lakeview Drive In. It's only open in the summer

I don't think the Blackhourse is open yet, when I drive by there still looks like a lot of work needs to be done.

We have tried Sliced for dinner, Bloedows(yum!), Miya for a snack, Two Fathoms for a drink, and Blooming Ground. Bought some plants from a plant store and got some swag from the visitors center next to the lake. Gorgeous area up here. My whole family is loving it. Looking for an Air BNB for a longer stay next year (it’s a yearly competitions), know of any good affordable ones?
