    Re: Vulcans mbb sancomb era...

Another possible hs player for DS, with a curious twist. On 5/18/18 ZYAN COLLINS, 6'3" PG/SG out of Freedom South-Riding HS Woodbridge VA, announced his commitment to CAL U. On 5/30/18 KENT MCBRIDE, who presumably recruited him announced his resignation. Since then nothing official or unofficial was said until yesterday when a tweet from his HS congratulated him on starting his next step with the VULCANS. Odd part is that his older brother ZACH COLLINS is a Jr at WJU having played his first two years for DS. Seems he may have encouraged his younger brother to go through with his commitment. Should know shortly.

It's not much, but it does appear the VULCANS will field a team this year.

Absent somthing more definitive, I count 9 heads in this photo that appear to be college age. Anyone know if Sancomb has any eligibility left?

Nine heads, yes ~ but if you look very closely, there are ELEVEN pair of feet!
To the left of the player in blue shorts, there are two more pair of feet.
HINT: The players are all in stocking feet. So there are at least 11 on this team. : )

This is really getting silly but I came upon another transfer who looks to be getting ready to play for DS. NATHANIEL CHAMBERS JR 6'4" COMBO GRD of Catonsville Md via D3 Lesley University with 3 years to play. At this point my best guess is the team will have 13-15 players made up of 5 returnees, 2-3 freshmen and 5-7 transfers. Entirely different style of coaching for SANCOMB who obviously has had the advantage of continuity over his time at WJU. Hope he's up to it.
Incoming freshman....COLLIN MACADAMS, ZYAN COLLINS, ERIC EVERETT
Transfers...NATE CHAMBERS, MATT BULLOCK, BRENT PEGRAM, KENNY LEE, IKE OKWARA

                        Still looking. And finding this...

Looks like 14 is the number per DS in interview in the Wheeling Intelligencer on Sunday

Not much size on the roster.

But, Danny knows what he's doing.

                            Any word where Howze landed?

First game vs FSU was solid for first time on the court for real. With 9+ min left game was 58-61 and still there for the taking. Rest of the way 6-15 shooting didn't get it done. The game was ultimately lost to the FALCONS 3pt shooting, 15-28, versus the VULCANS 6-21. That 27 pt differential is hard to overcome. All other stats were mostly even. Other oddity only 6 players made it on the court. Cannot imagine why ? Hope injuries are not the cause but you've got to wonder why last season's bright spot PHILLIP ALEXANDER saw no time??? Maybe tonight vs NCC.

I saw them scrimmage WLU. I think the vulcans are going to win some games, as evidenced by how tough they played FSU in first game.
