Consider this...Bloomsburg played without their 2nd leading scorer, Max Wagner. I believe I read he is academically ineligible for the Spring semester. Their leading scorer, Justin Anderson, is just a Freshman. They broke the ESU press far too easily last night. The East is packed with good teams. With Ship beating West Chester in West Chester last night, there is clearly no one dominant team in the division. Back to the Huskies for a sec...This is the second straight year they've had to sit a key player in the Spring due to academics...Student comes before athlete, right guys???

ESU's press is weak this year. It's nothing like it has been in the past. When they played here I couldn't beleive they stayed in it for 40 minutes. It hurt more than it helped. They got one TO out of it against IUP's walk-ons with 2 mins left in the game.

There's two dominant teams in the East - WCU and Ship. The rest aren't very good.

It's odd but if you look back in history UPJ has a track record of such performances. They historically are not a strong road team and also have several of these flops a year. They got beat up at Bloomsburg earlier this year. I watched the ending of the UPJ/Clarion game. They survived ... no other way to sum it up. No idea what causes it. In Johnstown they are very difficult -- they tend to shoot the lights out, get every bounce and every break. They didn't look good at Edinboro earlier in the week, either. They won both ... I guess that's all that really matters. They beat up Cal and Shippensburg but lose to Bloomsburg and just about lose to Edinboro and Clarion. Hard to figure out.

I'm very interested to see them play SRU this weekend. If the Rock is engaged it can win. I noticed Jared Armstrong didn't play for SRU yesterday. Not sure what's up there. Luckily they had Seton Hill so it didn't much matter. They still won by a big number.
