Without having the time to look it up - my concern is that a lot of schools have automatic interim suspensions of students with pending felony charges. Are these students suspended from school? They can't play then.

I have no pity for a thief and personally feel like the guy got off with an appropriate punishment. On the flip side I get not wanting to condone the mob justice mentality on a college campus so I am torn here.

If I was the prosecutor I'd let the players cut a deal for community service and mandatory anger management classes.
