Cleve Wright added two to the 2020-21 roster back in November on national signing day. McKel Nation and Jaidyn Harris are set to join the Knights in the fall. Both wrapped up their senior seasons helping lead their respective teams to success and earned various accolades over their high school careers.

Nation is a 6-1 forward out of Springboro Ohio. She played four years at the varsity level under direction of Tom Benjamin at Springboro High School. Nation helped her program post a 77-26 record over her four year career. The team won the Greater Western Ohio Conference four consecutive seasons and won their district two times. They were also named to the Dayton Top 125.

"Mckel brings energy to the floor! Her length and quickness will cause problems for the opponent," said Coach Wright. "She is a strong rebounder, capable defender and good passer. We love her competitiveness and desire to be a great teammate."

During her final season with Springboro, Nation started all 27 games and averaged just under 18 minutes per game. She averaged 5.9 points per game while shooting nearly 40 percent from the field. Nation added 4.4 rebounds per game, 1.0 assists per game, and 1.0 blocks per game. She scored double-figures in five games during her senior campaign including a career-best 17 points vs. Lebanon. She followed that performance with a career-best 10 rebounds at Loveland.

Harris is a 5-7 guard out of Aberdeen, Maryland. She played under Aresenio Copland at Oakland Mills High School. Despite a season ending injury during her sophomore season that took her junior season, Harris returned as one of the top players for her team and in her county. Harris earned Second Team All-County and All-Tournament Team honors in her career, while also leading Howard County in free throw percentage.

"Jaidyn plays hard and can do multiple things with the ball," said Coach Wright. "Her ball handling and passing will help in the backcourt. She can defend and make it tough for the other team. She connects easily and will have a positive impact on our culture."

Harris averaged just over 15 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game in her senior season. She notched a career-best 30 points in Oakland's win over Joppatowne on Dec. 7. Just a few weeks later, Harris poured in 19 points while hitting three consecutive three-pointers vs. Milford Mill as she helped lead her team to a 57-41 win.

"McKel and Jaidyn are strong additions to our team," said Coach Wright. "They both have the potential to be great players and great teammates. We are excited for them to join our team in the fall."

GU W sitting at 11-1, a 2pt loss to at that time #13 Daemen which they beat by 9 the next day.
      Obenrader still out.
only 2 games left against Mercyhurst (11-4) should be a fun 2 games to watch

GU W problem is SOS (264th according to Massey)...most wins are against teams with few wins against D2 teams....D'youville and Allen are only a provisional members of D2 right now
2-0 vs St. Rose who is 0-6 vs D2
2-0 vs Clarion who is 0-5 vs D2
2-0 vs Bluefield who is 2-5 vs D2
1-1 vs Daemen who is 8-1 vs D2
1-0 vs Roberts Wesleyan who is 4-6 vs D2
1-0 vs Mercyhurst who is 11-4 vs D2
2-0 vs Miles who is 6-11 vs D2

        Massey Ratings:

Mercyhurst is 136th in Massey so a GU loss to them could keep GU out of the NCAA

Absolutely agree. An 11-1 record sounds good but I watch them on TV only and their weaknesses are apparent.
I expect they'll get into the regionals but are a one & done team.
Let's keep in mind everything is so screwy this yr, ratings are useless

they'll win at least 2, pending where they rank and injuries at time. But as long as they are healthy and in the top 5... they'll win at least 2.
