Last Monday's D2SIDA Regional Top 10 didn't age well. Lot of losses in the those top 10 teams last week. Should look considerably different today.

WLU loses to NDC who barely got by WU and SHU and then the FALCONS lose to GSC. Can someone make sense of whether this is a down year or very deep parity ??
MEC, particularly among the top teams, is almost always a rough and tumble furball. Typically it's among 3 teams (WLU, Fairmont and UC) (WLU is 12-7 .631 over the last 5 years against Fairmont and UC...940 against the rest of the MEC) but this year it appears NDC is part of the party. By and large, I'd say the MEC is slightly up but not dramatically so.

So I'll take that as deeper than usual quality.

Yea...slightly deeper. Top seems deeper, middle a little bit, and the bottom is probably a little worse.

Thanks. Now I need an insider's view of the CIAA, but in any case it appears those 8 spots in the ATLANTIC will be hard to come by. I believe I'm correct in saying that, unlike FB, league tournament winners automatically qualify.

Is the CIAA as weak as this list seems to indicate ???

It might be. Idk, the usual CIAA powers are struggles.

That would seem to mean the final 8 will be 4 from one league, three from the other and the CIAA champ.

And that's going to spell trouble for someone come March, because the CIAA tourney champ is getting in even if they're not already in the top 8 (whereas the PSAC & MEC tourney champs are likely to be among the collection of teams within the top 8).

We're a long way from that discussion.

Historically, too, the CIAA has a couple teams go on big runs.

But, so far, yes, the CIAA has not looked good.
