          The Top 6 of each side make the tournament. The top two seeds on each side get a first round bye. In this year's example, since IUP has already clinched the top West seed, IUP's first tournament game (second round) would be against the lowest remaining seed. Gannon would host a second round game. The final location rotates yearly from East to West. The highest remaining West seed this year hosts. So, basically, if IUP wins one game they'll host.

          Once the Final Four is determined, the 'first round' of the Final Four matches up East against West.

          As an example, let's say it's IUP, Gannon, Ship and Kutztown (with IUP and Ship being the top seeds). In that scenario, IUP would play Kutztown and Gannon would play Ship. The winners play in the final. It's not completely uncommon to have a West vs. West or East vs. East final.

            On this topic, what's everyones thoughts on this format? Would you prefer this, or would you rather the Final always be PSAC East vs. PSAC West? Me, personally - I'd rather it be East vs. West in the Final with, obviously, teams in the same division playing each other up until that point. That is just me though.

              I prefer the crossing over for the semis. It makes it a little more likely that the top two teams will play in the finals.

                The East seeding is going to be huge as somebody is going to get to avoid East Stroudsburg. That's a huge advantage -- and (likely) avoid IUP on its home floor in the semifinals.

                To me, if Ship and Kutztown both win out, you have to give Kutztown the East No. 1 seed. They lost to IUP and Ship. Ship lost to Kutztown and a sub-.500 Millersville. Ship also took the easy way out with two PSU branch games. If records are the same, KU's body of work is better.

                Like so many years we could see a team get hot at the perfect time -- and get that automatic bid and throw the regional bids in to a mess.

                Outside of the (likely) Top 4 seeds (IUP, Ship, Kutztown, Gannon) ... I could see ESU being a team who could make noise. Mansfield took Kutztown to overtime last night. In the West, UPJ would probably be the most dangerous of the rest. Mercyhurst has shown some March madness over the years. Rock and Seton Hill, on perfect nights, may be capable of a big upset.

                  Shippensburg would be number one seed if your senario played out. Record against teams over .500 is the next tie breaker. I do think ESU beats one of them in one of the two remaining games. I hope no automatic bids go to anyone other than the top six. They all have earned an ncaa bid IMO. I Would like to see west Liberty play ESU in the ncaa if WL gets the one seed. It has the potential to be a very entertaining game.

                      I saw the buzzer beating three that gave Cal the win. If Seton Hill fouls before the shot, given Cal's hit-and-miss record at the foul line this season, the Griffins more likely than not win the game.
