Eng a Sr. has been a 2nd team all-state selection two years in a row. The 6.2 guard averaged 18.9ppg 4.8rpg and 2.9apg. this past season. I'm wondering if he is a walk on. Regardless, happy to have him.
If we sign someone from the portal that played in the NSIC are they allowed to play right away. I remember something from a few years ago, they need to wait but I think that changed over the covid years.

In D1 players have transferred within conference and played without time penalty. As far as I know they can as that is a NCAA issue rather than a conference rule.
I believe new rule is that player can transfer one time during career without having to sit out, etc. Not sure what happens if player wants to transfer second time in career.

You are correct... 1 time free transfer without any restrictions as long as they submit to the portal during the appropriate window. If a student athlete transfers a second time, unless they are a graduate transfer, he/she would have to seek a waiver from the NCAA to be immediately eligible. Similar to the old rules for transferring... if the waiver isn't granted, the player would have to take a redshirt year at their new school.
The rumblings around SF are that Billeter is denying Loges request to join an NSIC team. Previous teams coach must have final approval if a player can play in the same division or not. No idea what team just heard it was an NSIC team.
