Awesome! Always fun to see a kid coming from outside our standard recruiting footprint. Would be curious to learn how the coaching staff came across Justin. Either way, excited to see him in Viking blue next season. Welcome to Augie, Justin!Originally posted by AU Vikings View PostJustin Mack from Sugar Land, TX has committed to Augie:

Augie released both basketball schedules today.
https://goaugie.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule
The men's non-conference schedule is similar to the last few seasons: two games in KC (MoWest and SEOK this year) and the BHSU/SDSMT double dip out in Rapid. This new NSIC schedule makes as much sense as a cylinder call from Doug Votava.
Augie plays USF ONCE!! Augie plays Wayne and SMSU ONCE!! This is preposterous. Yeah it's nice to get a true home and home with Northern but why is Mary the "travel" partner of the Wolves? Is the NSIC trying to ghost Minot into leaving? Why are their regular season games on every night of the week except Monday?

Very true. Howevah, UIU announced they were leaving the NSIC last November. The NSIC had 9ish months to come up with a 15 team basketball schedule and where it ended makes it look like they forgot about it until a few weeks ago. It's not just Augie: Northern vs Moorhead, Mankato vs Winona, and Bemidji vs Duluth only happen once.Originally posted by Purple Mav Man View Post

Agree. The sh!t’s wonky AF. I like the not-always-Friday/Saturday-games. But it does look like they kinda forgot about basketball after scrambling to complete football schedules.Originally posted by Augieholic View Post

Utterly ridiculous. Vikings only playing it's three natural rivals only once, not to mention three closest foes. What was conference schedule makers thinking.Originally posted by Augieholic View PostAugie released both basketball schedules today.

I had this same dialogue with myself earlier in the offseason, but it's actually not. They change them depending on how close (or far) you are. Augie (and SMSU/USF, for reference) play Northern and UMary the same weekend, but Winona (and Mankato) face UMary and Minot the following weekend. Similarly, the travel pairings are different for Augie to Duluth (with CSP) than they are for Northern to Duluth (with St Cloud)Originally posted by Augieholic View PostAugie released both basketball schedules today.
