I have one. Charlie Brown will not be in the starting lineup by the end of the season.

I would agree with that. Was nowhere to be found towards the end of their loss to Mo. Southern.

Or the beginning and middle. Maybe he was 'trying to do too much' against his former team. He's been less than impressive so far.

Mav women with a win over Missouri Western tonight 64-53. Ziegler and Schroeder were very proficient rebounding and scoring. Having Jordan out is unfortunate, but some of the freshmen look very athletic.

With the new point guard we have, we are not missing Charlie at all.

Mav women will get revenge for the men against MSSU Saturday.

Which women's teams in the MIAA are considered contenders this season? I did expect the MSU women to be improved this year, having lost just one to graduation. A small forward that played some last year transferred out, and a guard left the team a few weeks ago. I don't think either was projected as a starter this year.

Full agreement with that statement. That kid is pretty good.

Emporia State will be very good. But they always are. They should be the best in the league and should be a national title contender. After them, it should be Pitt State, Washburn, and Ft Hays. Missouri Western may also be pretty good, but their star player graduated.

Watching the video of the game the other night, I was impressed with the athleticism of some of the Western players. I would be surprised if they are not in the top half of the MIAA this season.

Mav women defeat Missouri Southern 89-64. Delzotto with 20 points. Ziegler another stellar game scoring and rebounding. Shroeder went out in the first half with an injury; hopefully she can return soon. Freshmen inside players Klug and Drost did quite well.

Looking at the schedule on the athletics website it doesn't note this upcoming game against St cloud as a conference game. Is that true or a misprint. If so why is this? Are you only allowed a certain number of confidence games?

The conference season is 22 games. This is a nonconference game. The way to tell (usually, not all) is that it is a men's only game. The conference game will be in Mankato this season. Both Mav and Husky fans don't like it but having them in the North and MSU in the South is the reason for this.

I like that they are playing this year and wish they would every year. Gives each team a home game in the series.

Strange year though this year, MSU plays as many regular season games in St. Cloud as they do in Mankato (3) by January 1.

Yeah that's not always the way to tell. SMSU and USF aren't opening the conference season with a doubleheader, but they're both conference games.

In your case, the way to tell is that you're playing each other twice. That's only for division foes. Same situation with SMSU and Northern last week.
