Haha. I'm not interested I defending anyone. And that doesn't change the fact that Reimer has more D1 drops.

Good to see Krieger get some action in MSU's 2nd 79-62 victory over St. Cloud of the season. The Mavs were a league best 7-1 in cross division play. Only loss was at home against Mary. Gross.

Anyway, hopefully Krieger can get back to speed/strength soon. He lost 15 pounds while out 3 weeks with mono.

Agree. Good athlete with great potential. Hoping the Mavs can make a late-season run these last two weekends of the regular season.

Big upset in Winona as the Mav women win 78-71.
Klug has to be a candidate for Freshman Player of the year. 21 points tonight; 15 last night.

I don't know if the team record will hurt her, but Caleigh Rodning is averaging 13/7 for SMSU. Klug only averaging 9/2.

Well, I said a candidate for Freshman POY. Considering she doesn't start, and in many games has not played very much, her scoring and other contributions are quite impressive. And, she plays on a team with a much better record than Southwest, of course.

Nice article by Chad Currier from the Mankato Free Press on Grant Pope, fifth year guard for the Mavs. He actually played much more as a sophomore than he has the past two years.

Sounds as if he loves MSU. Maybe next year he'll come back for alumni night and make it 5 alumni returning for the night as opposed to the 4 that they had this year.

Great story- read it over morning coffee and realized it's the first really good story I've read anywhere in weeks. Good way to start my day.

What a committed young man. Hope he coaches at any level in the future.

Mav women, without Claire Ziegler (I haven't heard why yet) lead Southwest 61-42 at the half. They scored 35 in the first quarter. There were games when they didn't score 35 in a half.

FINAL: MSU women 106 Southwest 77

Augie women beat Winona tonight to clinch at least a share of the South.
