Not sure why Doyle didn't cut to the hoop on the pick, but Mack hits an ugly/beautiful three to give the Wolves their first lead of the game 83-82 with 26 seconds to go
Mack with an iladvised three to win it 86-84....wow....all I can say. Ian Smith was crucial in this comeback. We are lucky to survive this one. Just like the women's games, too many fouls for fans to really enjoy a good battle.
Against conference opponents the Wolves have lost by one, lost by one, lost by two, lost by five and then the Augie game. Sucks to think of what "could" by in the standings but happy with the fight. Going to be another good one in Marshall tomorrow
The women's game against could be summed pretty easily. The refs were God awful and NSU still escaped with a victory.
The men's game was an instant classic. NSU looked lost the whole first half, only Logan Doyle could score, and we couldn't play a lick of defense. Down 18 with about 16 to play Ian Smith and throw in a little DJ Pollard with Mack and NSU came to life. The whole game USF's "Student Section" which was filled with what appeared to be 5 30-year-olds who didn't stop yacking the whole game, finally got shut up when Mack hit a beautiful game winner. I do, however, want to see the play USF ran to take the lead prior to because their guy had an easy lay-up. Every coach needs that play in their arsenal.
Big game tomorrow for the Wolves. Hopefully they left some in the tank.
