Great effort by our guys today. Disappointed in the outcome, but not in the effort and heart of our guys. Looking back, this year was about like I hoped. We exceeded the #8/#9 pick in the preseason polls by finishing tied for 6th ... which is what I was estimating. We also finished 17-13, 12-10 in the league. 12-10 in the league was what I was expecting, but 17-13 exceeded my guess. Two wins against nationally ranked UCO shows the potential we have. We will definitely miss Christian and Ndongo next year, and I wish them much success. We have a lot of good pieces coming back and I think Sam will bring in even more strong pieces. Very good first year in the Sam McMahon era, with even better days ahead. Go Lions!!!

Nice win by theady Lions today. The best full 40 minutes of basketball they have played all year. They definitely wanted this one and went and took it. Hope we can do the same thing to the Lopers tomorrow and finally take one from them.

That’s pretty cool… She’s very likable on and off the court. Your fanbase should be proud… you got a good one!

I watched her play and saw that interview- what a sparkplug. I thought that she would be the Central Region tournament MVP but UMD came from 15 down with about 5 minutes to play and won by one.

Heart-breaking loss to a very good Duluth team ended one of the greatest seasons in MOSO ladies basketball history. 29-7 record. Most wins ever by a MOSO ladies team. Lost to 5 teams during the year, but also beat each of those five teams at least once. Won the MIAA conference tourney. Advanced to our second consecutive regional. Advanced to only the third D2 regional final in our history, losing all three. What a great year and so proud of these ladies!

Losing three ladies from this team. Layne Skiles, a starter, was the glue for this team and did all the little things that help win games. Amaya John's, the first inside player off the bench, played much bigger than she was, and was a sparkplug off the bench hitting jumpers and getting rebounds. Cameron Call didn't play much late in the year, but had a huge game against Lincoln when she started due to injuries and illnesses. This team worked extremely well together thanks to these senior leaders.

Looking forward to seeing how this team continues to grow next year and to all the success they will enjoy next year!

WBB in the MIAA is awesome. The top six teams were all very good and congrats to Missouri Southern for their run in the post season.

                    • MSSU women's basketball signed a 5'8 guard from Oral Roberts that will be a sophomore next year. Sounds like she had a standout high school career in Oklahoma. Hope to see several more strong additions in the coming days and weeks.
