Asked to resign or be fired, not much of a difference. Given the situation, he took the high road.

      Re: Kim Anderson resignation

The situation at Mizzou was worse than what anyone ever spoke of. Kim was never informed of the problems prior to taking the job. Don't know if he would have taken it or not, but now the pressure is off of him. To make matters worse, how would you like to be the coach who brought along a young assistant and then shortly after arriving, that assistant finds out his young daughter has a rare cancer? Loos came with Kim to UCM, single and as a grad assistant. He left the "Burg married with three young children. Loos is like another son to Kim. Coach A will be fine, but I am more concerned about Brad and his family. If you don't know anything about it, check out RallyforRhyan.

Loos' dad just announced his retirement at Austin Peay. Wonder if KA would go there or if Brad will be in the hunt for his dad's job? Bottom line, both are great guys and can coach. Just didn't win enough to stay at Mizzou.

I have no inside info or anything but I have to believe Mizzou will take care of the Loos family.

Although Brad would love to go to APSU, there has been a long-time assistant coach there they made the interim head coach this year while his dad had to leave for cancer treatments. Might have to think he'd get the first crack at the job.

This article talks about if Wichita has outgrown the MO Valley. But it also asks if Marshall has outgrown Wichita. They wonder if he would go to Mizzou.

Won't be surprised if Nebraska makes a coaching change soon as well.

Hmm...they play basketball? Just kidding. Another school where basketball historically has taken a back seat. IMO, not a very good job.

Nebraska has put a TON of money and resources into basketball the last five years. Brand new arena, state of the art practice facilities. Play in a top-notch league, it's a shame Nebraska just can't seem to get it figured out. Not expecting them to be a title contender, but should be able to be a consistent top-half league finisher and be able to make the NCAA's two or three times every five years.

Not in basketball this year. Big 10 is, well, mid-major worthy on the court.

Not so top notch this year...usually decent but this is a pretty bad year for the Big Ten.

When I saw South Dakotas own get the Nebraska job I was happy for him but also very sad. Not only as a KU fan did I have to want him to fail, but changing a culture is probably the hardest thing in sports. Similarly to the Jayhawks in football.

I think he is a great Coach, Nebraska would be fools to get rid of him. Look at what Richard has done at Minnesota....that takes incredible selling, recruiting and coaching.

I'd assume Tim and Richard both aren't planning to stay at those schools but all you can ask is someone to get you in the right direction and then you absolutely have to hit on your next hire or it is for not.

While this may be true, do the fans really care? In Mizzou's glory days of basketball, football was an after thought most of the time and the rivalry with KU was there. Who could you call a rival for the huskers in basketball at anytime?

Yes, this year the Big Ten is garbage, but generally it is one of the very best basketball leagues in the country.

I like Tim Miles, but he's only had one winning record in five years at Nebraska. He's gone 15-18, 19-13, 13-18, 16-18, and now 12-18. He's a great interview, great publicity for the program but his gameday coaching at the Big Ten level has yet to manifest into anything consistent.

He has some great recruits on the roster now and coming in, maybe some of the best Nebraska has ever had. But he's also had several good players quit or transfer because of conflicts with Miles. I can see Nebraska going either way........giving him one more year, or letting him go. Next week or so will be interesting. I think they probably only make a change if they have a proven winner lined up already interested in the job.

The fans care, and are desperate for a winner. The Huskers, believe it or not, are one of the national leaders in attendance since opening the new arena. They average roughly 13,000-14,000 fans per game.

Nebraska doesn't have a basketball rival. Maybe Creighton, but the Bluejays have absolutely owned that series as of late (and Greg McDermott has absolutely owned Tim Miles.....at every level).

Should've stayed in Big 12 and Mizzou as well. Money ain't everything.
