The men's regional at Mankato was a disaster on tv last year. Very poor production and quality. I ended up getting a $10 refund, as I'm sure others did too. That may have contributed to the NCAA not doing anything nationally for the regional rounds.

I would like to say trying to watch the D2 basketball tournaments this year was a trainwreck. Last year everything was consolidated on the NCAA video app, and it worked great. You could buy a pass for rounds 1 - 4 and watch any tournament game. This season it was a hodgepodge and impossible to easily watch games across the country. Sad.

I'm pretty sure 4 or 5 regions were on FloSports, I forget if they have a reasonable 1-month subscription option or not. Flo at least as minimum quality requirements that help minimize your risk of paying for an unwatchable stream, unlike Hudl. Although I think the Central Region was free this year anyway.

That really is just a by-product of the Grand Valley defense. Every team does it. They are so long, athletic and have good defensive principles. Grand Valley's defense has always been its strong suit. This year they added an offense to it to make a very deadly combination. But yes, losing a starter in tournament can be devasting as the team doesn't have much time to recover and practice with the loss of that player.
