The biggest names in here so far are Creighton Morisch & Shawn Warrior for Sioux Falls & Lucas Morgan of St. Cloud. I know both of the Sioux Falls guys were listed as seniors, so maybe those are graduate transfers that aren't a big shock to Chris Johnson.

But Lucas Morgan is just a sophomore, and was a big part of the Huskies' success this year. Played a bit of an inside-outside game, had a solid 3-point stroke. I'm sure Quincy Henderson was hoping he'd retain all of his starting 5 into the next two years, so it'd be interesting to see Morgan go elsewhere.

I don't know that (m)any D2 coaches of teams that finish higher than 6th or 7th place in their conference should keep their hopes up for something like this anymore.

Jamir Price back in for Moorhead. I’m assuming this is a grad transfer at this point?

Same with Jhei-R Jones from Winona.

Didn’t know Jones had any time left. I was under the impression he was a senior in eligibility.

I’m not sure there is such a thing as eligibility anymore. Ha. Just petition for another year.

New rules coming out all the time especially for guys that have some JUCO in their past resumes. That’s prob what’s happening.

I guess I don't assume that's what's happening here with Price of Jhei-R Jones. This feels like a simple graduate transfer, and that's been around for a while.

Pretty sure Price eligibility was finished until new JUCO rule. Grad transfer rules didn’t give player additional eligibility, it only allowed players to transfer without sitting out a year.

I saw a while back, somewhere, a plausible path for someone coming out of JUCO to be able to play at some level of college ball for 10 years with all the exemptions one can now get. Granted, it was geared more towards an "elite" player as an Olympic waiver was in there, but still. With possible NIL money, that could turn into a pretty lucrative gig.

EDIT: Found it, it worked out to 11 years:

                            Year 1: JUCO redshirt
                            Year 2: JUCO play
                            Year 3: JUCO medical year
                            Year 4: JUCO play
                            Year 5: NCAA redshirt
                            Year 6: NCAA play
                            Year 7: NCAA play
                            Year 8: NCAA medical year
                            Year 9: NCAA play
                            Year 10: Olympic waiver
                            Year 11: NCAA play

If only Parker Fox had gone to Junior College. Seriously these rules have gotten ridiculous. Give me the old days when money hadn’t spoiled everything and you could sign somebody and count on getting four years.
