I see that Minnesota State plays at Edinboro and Gannon, three games in three days. How far apart are those two schools?

Not far. It is less than a half hour between the two schools.

And yes. It is a three day tournament. Lot of hoops! Got Gannon versus Union tonight. Nothing like a top 5 matchup to start the season!

#4 ranked North Georgia is in trouble, down 8 to Ferris State with 3 minutes remaining.

#15 Minnesota State leads Edinboro 69-32 at halftime. The Mavericks are shooting 69.4% from the floor! I think they are taking the loss to Pitt St. last season out on poor Edinboro.
#5 Gannon leads #2 Union 29-20 at halftime. Low scoring affair for this top 5 match-up.

#15 Minnesota State leads California (PA) 52-19 at halftime. The Mavericks have forced 25 turnovers. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they are underrated to start the season at just #15.
Ferris State (RV) leads #2 Union 45-37 at halftime. Ferris State is shooting a red hot 60%.

#15 Minnesota State defeats California (PA) 98-53. They forced 46 turnovers tonight.
#2 Union defeats Ferris State (RV) 73-70. Union looked much better in tonight's win.

#4 North Georgia defeats Edinboro 86-75.
Northern Michigan (RV) defeats #5 Gannon 60-58.

This shootout has been fantastic to watch. I have found it much more entertaining than last week's in St. Joe. The fact you can watch it free too is a bonus!

Yes, it is early. But sure looks like Minnesota Mankato is the biggest threat to Grand Valley this year!

Union has adapted Glenville State's style of a couple years ago. IF they can keep the team together for next season (not a senior on the team). they definitely could have something special cooking.

#15 Minnesota State leads #2 Union 61-37 at halftime. This Minnesota State team is something special to watch. Union has turned it over 19 times so far. Minnesota State is shooting a red hot 73%.

#15 Minnesota State defeats #2 Union 112-94. The game was never in doubt with 5 Maverick players scoring in double figures, they forced 28 turnovers and shot 63% in the 18 point win.

Northern Michigan (RV) defeats Edinboro 65-50. Not a good weekend for host Edinboro who went 0-3.

I haven't seen a D2 women's team like Minnesota State in quite sometime. They are indeed fun to watch. Sort of reminds me of the Ashland team around 2016-2017. And they appear to play the same way too. Long, deep, pressure everywhere, and fundamentally sound.

Pretty evident to me they are at least the 2nd best women's D2 in the nation. Provided they stay healthy, I see them and Grand Valley in a collision course come March. And they probably are the best equipped team to beat Grand Valley this year.
