I guess I didn't realize it at the time, but yes, coincidentally. I'll add that I think the USI and Drury games are toss-ups, but I do believe both GLVC teams will come out on top, based on end of season performance and wins against other ranked teams.

WoD 1-5 against regional teams. Par for the WoD.

If Walsh has an achilles heel, it may be free throw shooting. Their problem is that the guy who leads them in most free throws taken, Christy, is a 39% free throw shooter. It looks like they would be very suceptible to the "hack-a-shaq" strategy. Guys who shoot 39% are likely to be even worse than that in a close game at the end. If nothing else, it seems like an opponent should not hesitate to be very aggressive in keeping him off the boards.

It seems odd that the two top seeds are playing the two hottest teams in the first round. The more I look at Walsh, the better they get. Looking at their conference only stats in comparison to Findlay's stats, it really was not an upset that they beat Findlay. Walsh is the better team, especially if you realize that they are a young team who started slowly.

Lewis is getting no bargain either. GVSU won the GLIAC tournament for a reason and beat a very good and highly motivated Davenport team in the final.

One or two upsets are definitely possible.

Im going three out of 4 GLVC teams and the one losing is not who you think:

              Drury
Team shall not be named because I don't want to jinx
              GVSU
              USI

I agree with Moves, GVSU and Walsh are the hottest teams. The GVSU win over Davenport may be the most impressive win of the season by any of these teams. They beat on the road the team that is likely the best team in the region, in a very important game for both teams but actually more important to Davenport since that was their last game. As for Walsh, I refrain from discussing their game with BU, cause I don't want to jinx anything.

I think it would be really neat to see all four glvc teams win. It would turn into another mini glvc conference tourney.

That was like a home game for BU, big turnout. Defiantly helped the team. Having the Band and cheerleaders was a great move by the administration.

Massey predicts Lewis over USI, 74-72. 55% chance.
                            I'm rooting for a USI-BU final.
