The biggest problem is how to deal with varying numbers of games played; some have played four D2 games, while some have played as few as two. I let the smaller sample size count as a negative in some cases.

      SR1
      1. Bentley (4-0)
      2. Notre Dame (4-0)
      3. Slippery Rock (4-0)
      4. Shepherd (3-1)
      5. Kutztown (3-1)
      6. California (4-0)
      7. Shippensburg (4-0)
      8. Indiana (2-1)
      9. Stonehill (3-1)
      10. West Chester (3-1)
      SR2
      1. Valdosta State (3-0)
      2. Wingate (3-0)
      3. West Florida (2-0)
      4. Bowie State (3-0)
      5. North Greenville (3-0)
      6. Chowan (4-0)
      7. Newberry (3-1)
      8. Lane (3-0)
      9. West Georgia (4-0)
      10. Catawba (3-0)
      SR3
      1. Ferris State (4-0)
      2. Nebraska–Kearney (4-0)
      3. Grand Valley State (2-0)
      4. Harding (3-1)
      5. Truman (4-0)
      6. Southeastern Oklahoma State (4-0)
      7. Henderson State (4-0)
      8. Northwest Missouri State (3-0)
      9. Lindenwood (2-1)
      10. Pittsburg State (3-1)
      SR4
      1. Midwestern State (4-0)
      2. Augustana (4-0)
      3. Angelo State (3-1)
      4. Colorado Mines (4-0)
      5. UTPB (3-0)
      6. Minnesota–Duluth (3-1)
      7. Minnesota State (3-1)
      8. Colorado Mesa (3-0)
      9. Western Colorado (4-0)
      10. Wayne State NE (3-1)
Not a fan of the NSIC I see despite having a team go to the last national championship game.

EDIT: I didn’t see Augustana in there originally.

40% of the top ten; three in playoff spots.

Glad you saw Augie in there!

Kutztown ahead of Shepherd based on head-to-head
Stonehill ahead of Shippensburg based on OWP
Tiffin ahead of West Chester based on OWP

We see the rest the same right now.

Good call on Kutztown and Shepherd... the three-way circle with IUP made me forget to take the head-to-head into account. I'm not sure the SOS difference is enough to make a difference in the other cases.

Well, his #1 in SR4 lost in Ellensburg. That will definitely shake up the SR.

NW defense is only allowing 3.5 pts a game and 3 teams ahead of them lost so I’d say you had them rated too low

This isn't a power ranking. I definitely think they're one of the best teams in the region, but as of last week they didn't have one of the seven best résumés. I'm sure they do now, though I haven't checked the numbers yet.

I guess it's that annual rite of passage. Every season it has to be explained. "Regional" rankings are not polls. And more importantly, they're supposedly a numbers game based mostly on W/L and records of those opponents. Keep up what you're doing, it's a fun exercise to see. Thanks!
