Thanks for the info. It looks like Miss. College and Jax St. were the last from the same conference to face each other in the finals ('89). I don't mind strict regionality, and the committee probably went in this direction to cut $$ since more teams made the postseason. However, strict regionality could keep the two best teams from facing each other in some years.

No there is no data on silo conferences so each team is presumed to have an OOC win percentage of .500. The suggestion is that using historical performance is better than nothing and I maintain a lot more fair than giving them a something they did not earn.
