It's ridiculous that some teams don't play their bowl game until a full month after their season has ended.

The whole bowl scheme should be reconfigured into more sponsored opening game OOC for schedule strength purposes for the coming 12 team playoff and multiple sponsored rivalry mid season “bowls” (I.e., FAMU and Bethune Cookman weeklong celebration and game) to cut down on the excessive number of end of season bowls that have a hard time drawing crowds and attention.

Spread them out over the entire season and use them for playoff schedule strength, to enhance rivalries and for qualifiers for next season’s opening game bowls. That way they all mean something for teams angling for playoff berth this season and for positioning for next season.
