UDFA West Florida WR David Durden suffered concussion making highlight reel stretched out long TD catch in double coverage in Friday practice. He missed preseason game against Jaguars due to concussion and is on outside looking in on the depth chart for Dallas. Looking like practice squad unless he can make some noise in remaining preseason games.

Emanuel Wilson (Fort Valley, started at JCSU) had a huge game for the Packers. 111 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 carries. In a league that values low cost backs that can produce he should be able to find his way onto some teams roster/practice squad if the Packers end up not keeping him, granted he will probably need to show some value on special teams as well.

Vitaliy Gurman (Toledo but All American at Edinboro before that) is still in camp with the Raiders. He was UDFA last year with Kansas City and made it to the last round of roster cuts. Spent last season on Practice Squad for Las Vegas.

Not a "rookie" as he has been around for a couple years - but Detroit TE Shane Zylstra was injured in camp and is not expected to play this year.

Even though he was down the depth chart, Dan Campbell was really high on him - so it's a pretty big blow.

Andrew Farmer OLB (Lane College) had a good showing for the Chargers against the Rams. He logged three tackles and a sack.

Tyson Bagent (Shepherd) went 4-5 for 37 yards, with a long of 25 in the Bears win over the Titans over the weekend. Only Justin Fields had a better completion percentage for the Bears.

Ronnie Brown RB from Shepherd had 1 carry for 1 yd and another catch on 3rd down that he was able to pick up a 10 yard gain for a 1st down for Tampa Bay against the Steelers.

Joey Fisher OL from Shepherd had some extensive playing time at guard for the 49ers against the Raiders.

Ronnie Brown RB from Shepherd had 1 carry for 1 yd and another catch on 3rd down that he was able to pick up a 10 yard gain for a 1st down for Tampa Bay against the Steelers.

Joey Fisher OL from Shepherd had some extensive playing time at guard for the 49ers against the Raiders.

Bagent and Fisher are both pushing hard for roster spots. Brown is pretty far down on the depth chart, but I hope that he can rise.

Also, don't go Googling Joey Fisher at work or around family unless you're willing to see a couple of big surprises.

Ouachita Baptist’s Gregory Junior has been running with the ones and twos in Jacksonville lately. Seems to be playing lots of the nickel. Forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and got an int thru 2 preseason games.

Second year player. Practice squad most of last year.

Second year UDFA D’Anthony Bell (West Florida) has moved up to second team S for Cleveland and top 5 of tackles list in preseason games this year. Looks to see a lot more regular playing time this year.

Tyson Bagent played with the Bears' second team tonight and completed 9-of-10 passes for 76 yards and scored on a rushing TD. He led a 92-yard drive for the TD.

And after tonight, Bagent is in the QB2 discussion.

Very very impressive performance by Bagent over these first two preseason games! Hope he can snag that QB2 or QB3 spot for the bears.

I do have to admit I’m a little surprised by how well he’s looked so far. He put up huge numbers in his D2 career but almost all of that was against extremely siloed and weak PSAC/SR1 competition. Most times when facing other super regions he hasn’t looked nearly as good. Surprised he’s looked so good against NFL caliber defenses.

He was also going up against most of those teams with a team that isn't as funded. Line play matters, and that is where that funding really came into play.
