I wrestled and played football against a guy in high school who got runner up 3 times in wrestling and 4x runner up in football. It’s unfortunate that Mines has to follow the same fate as Chance Wengluski.

No disrespect to Mines, but Central Missouri and Grand Valley were a more formidable foe for Harding than Mines. It goes to speak for the unbalanced regions and the strength of Super Region 3, but I digress. I'm sure it will be a close game and and an absolute dog fight, regardless.

Mines beat a healthy GV team by the same margin that Harding beat them. I think it'll be a pretty decent NC game.

I have already booked my hotel room in Sherman, TX. So all I got to do is drag my butt 45 minutes further to McKinney. I love to drive, so It will be fun.

I hate to burst your bubble but GVSU defense was FAR from healthy for the opening game against Mines....not even close...the d was in much better shape against Harding. Offense was beat up against Harding big time.

Enjoy it! I think this will be a very good close game, but then I dont know much about football.

I think it will be a good game. The Harding DBs are not good, so they'll have to be able to run it on a stout D.

Mines will play a good team without the elevation advantage for the first time since the last NC game.

Based on what both teams have done throughout the season, including the playoffs, plus the fact both squads are undefeated, this should be a barn burner!

If I'm not mistaken, both teams will also be playing for their first D2 national championship.

All of us except maybe the CSoM and Harding faithful should hope for a close game.

One other note - this game will be played on Saturday 12/16 at 1:00 PM ET and be televised on ESPNU. (I'm unsure if ESPN+ will also broadcast the game; it might if the DI-AA/FCS quarterfinals the last couple of days are any indication.)
