Yeah that’s not true. Ivy Champion Harvard beat New Hampshire and Holy Cross…programs that have made the FCS playoffs in the past. I mean Ferris Bueller could probably go toe to toe with them but most of D2 would not beat them. There are a few FCS level leagues like the Northeast Conference that are a joke but the Ivy isn’t one of them.Last edited by crixus; 12-22-2024, 10:41 PM.

Why not move it to the Star in Frisco? Small enough to fill up, and unique enough to get everyone excited.
Speaking of Frisco, it's also worth noting that Toyota Stadium is slated to undergo renovations starting after the FCS title game in January and is expected to last into 2027. It's possible that's a reason why Nashville is getting hosting duties for the FCS title game for two years, but that's just a guess on my part:

So I could be wrong, technically.

EDIT: I neglected to add that it's possible that Frisco could submit a bid for 2028 and beyond once Toyota Stadium's renovations are complete.Last edited by ctrabs74; 12-31-2024, 09:30 PM.Cal U (Pa.) Class of 2014

Also, for what it's worth, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl (D3 national championship) is being played this weekend at Houston's Shell Energy Stadium, home of MLS' Houston Dynamo and FCS' Texas Southern football.Cal U (Pa.) Class of 2014

Renovations to Sporting Park was the main reason why KC backed out from hosting the D2 title game and McKinney stepped in to host. So you might not be wrong about the FCS title game move (though, as best as I can tell, nobody has come out and said it specifically).

Like they couldn't have taken out the turf after the game and set up a big greenhouse over the field to get the turf to grow and root in right.

I don’t know if this played a factor into the move of the FCS game to Nashville for the next two years. Frisco has sort of marketed themselves as the soccer destination kind of like Omaha has with college baseball and with the World Cup and the DFW area being a host city, it’s possible Fricso decided it might focus it’s resources on that event vs one day of football in early January. The actual matches will be played at Jerrry world, but I bet Frisco will be utilized for all sorts of stuff directly and indirectly related from everything to practice facilities to youth soccer tourneys. It’s going to be a huge revenue generator.Last edited by LSC Fan; 01-06-2025, 06:35 AM.
