In your EXPERT opinion if Tiffin doesn't have either than who does because last time I checked their offense and defense is ranked pretty high nationally. "Tiffin gets lucky", I guess if winning by multiple TD's every week constitutes lucky then I think every team in America would sign up for that. I cant believe I am even acknowledging such a bad take on things so I am going to stop writing now... We will see what happens Saturday, I just hope for your sake Tiffin's player and coaches are not reading this message board, because you just gave them some really good bulletin board material!
I want to start off by saying I wish the best for every team in the conference including tiffin, I’ve followed GMAC sports for sometime now and want to see the GMAC have success in every sport including football. I will repeat myself with tiffin. You guys have yet to play anybody good out of conference. And all the good conference teams seem to play their worse against you guys. Tiffin has gotten lucky again and again this year and their luck will soon run out. The best comparison I can think of is the Minnesota Vikings last year… they had a good record but weren’t really a good team and lost first round of the playoffs. I really want to see the conference have some success in the playoffs but with this tiffin team it won’t happen. I know the Tiffin fans are upset on here because they know I am speaking the truth and the truth is hard to accept sometimes.

Tiffin(8-0, 10-0) at Findlay(6-2, 7-3) 27-10. Findlay gave everything they had last week against Ashland. I just can’t see the Oilers bouncing back after such a heartbreaking outcome. Tiffin would seem to benefit from a Findlay team that may have lost some motivation for this one. Sure it’s a rivalry and the teams might not like each other but I have a feeling the Dragons kick the Oilers while they are down. Tiffin’s defense dominates the day. On to the playoffs, Tiffin don't lay an egg. Findlay comes back next year and has to have the Northwood game circled already as that loss doomed a great year.
Lake Erie(0-8, 1-9) at Thomas More(3-5, 4-6) 31-13. Lake Erie had a victory last week and found a way to lose it in the end. I will give the Storm credit as they could have easily of folded the tents on the season but they battled and played tough football. If they can play that way this week this game could be close but I think the bad Lake Erie team shows up this week and TM has their way with them. If the Saints can get the victory then I would think a 5-6 season would be a success for a team making the jump to DII football. Looking forward to this team next year.
Northwood(4-4, 4-6) at Walsh(1-7, 3-7) 27-13. Ok this game has some meaning for Northwood. A win puts them at a 5-4 conference record and for the Timberwolves with a new head coach this would be an incredible season. A win guarantees a finish in the top half of the conference and they will carry some huge momentum going into the offseason. In fact if OD can upset Hillsdale they will finish tied for 4th with a signature win over Findlay this season. With a win I think Northwood comes back next year as a top 4 preseason team.
Ohio Dominican(3-5, 4-6) at Hillsdale(5-3, 5-5) 24-13. I am taking a small upset here as Hillsdale hasn’t really beat anyone good this year and yes OD isn’t good either but they do have a top defense. Very similar teams as one side of the ball is much better than the other and both teams best wins have come against Northwood. Is that even considered a good win? I guess that's the point in this pick as neither team has beaten anyone so I have it as a toss up. A big game for Hillsdale as they could finish tied for 3rd in the conference and finish with a winning record but OD needs this to finish a hugely disappointing season on a high note. Again I encourage anyone who plays Hillsdale to take advantage of their 3rd defensive series. For the 10th straight week the Chargers become a pay to play school on the 3rd defensive possession and new players come in that shouldn’t be on the field. With a couple of deep throws any team should be able to score if the GMAC coaches would just scout a little. Look at Michigan, scouting pays off.
Ashland(7-1,7-3) at Kentucky Wesleyan(3-5, 4-6) 38-13. I am not sure why Ashland is not in the top 10 regional rankings. With one of the toughest schedules in DII and they will be ending the season on an 8 game win streak. There are not many teams in our region hotter than Ashland so I am disappointed to see a team with 3 losses with an easier schedule ranked ahead of the Eagles. I actually thought they could be ranked as high as #8 this week but I guess Ashland will have to take their 8 game win streak into next year. The Eagles will enter next year as one of the top 2 teams in the league and maybe even a national preseason ranking. KW has been a hard team to read. The last few weeks have been very disappointing. Last weeks win over Lake Erie was very ugly and a game, to be honest, they should have lost but Lake Erie is who they are for a reason and gave KW the win. At the beginning of the year I thought this was a program on the rise but the ending to the year has me thinking the Panthers are still in the middle of a long rebuild.

The IUP loss is hurting them a lot in the rankings. That has turned into a very bad loss. IUP is not a good team this year.

I agree with you about IUP but no way I can agree with Frostburg State being ranked #9 ahead of Ashland. Frostburg is on a 2 game losing streak and with a win in OT they are a play away from being a 4 loss team. Ashland played Ferris tough and yes the GMAC is by know means the strongest conference but I would think the 7 game win streak versus a 2 game losing streak going into this weeks rankings would be enough to put the Eagles in the thick of the playoff picture.

Two things the playoff rankings are not influenced by: point differential and ongoing win/loss streaks. Whether the rankings should be influenced by those variables is a different question. But Ashland is getting no extra credit for losing its games earlier in the year.

I’ve been reading these boards for a while now and it’s time I chime in and give the Eagles the support and respect we deserve. Yes, the IUP loss looks bad but it was week one for crying out loud. Then the Ferris game was a tough matchup but I’m proud of how our boys played them close. Very easily could have gotten that one had a few things gone our way. We have been dominant all year since then, except for that tough Tiffin game. I’m not gonna bash the dragons like a lot of others do on here, but man it seems everyone plays their worst and beats themselves when matched up with them. They have some cats but seem undisciplined and very beatable. Hillsdale should have had them, and if we played em 10 times we beat em 9, but not that game. Not. That. Night.
I hope they represent the conference well in the playoffs, but they are not nearly as dominant as we were last year. Been following the GLIAC and GMAC for years, and the best teams to come out of the GMAC in a while were us last year and the Chargers back in 2018. They got lucky against us last year, but it amazes me how they are competitive year after year. They play smart guy football the right way, just like the Eagles who don’t have to rely on pure athleticism like some other teams in the conference. People forget, our game with Hillsdale this year featured the most competitive half of play all season. That Herzog kid is special, and their line is dominant on both sides. Heard a Charger podcast about Herzog’s golf game and if he could hold on to the football like his golf clubs, that game could have been interesting.
Really hoping something crazy happens and the Eagles make the playoffs, but all we can do is handle our business against Kentucky. Picks this week are easy.
                  Tiffin
                  Thomas More
                  Northwood
                  Hillsdale
                  Ashland

Call me crazy, but the current top 3 in the league in order are Ashland, Hillsdale, Tiffin. Time will tell.

Hillsdale's win vs ODU proved a lot of folks were wrong thinking ODU would win big, or at least win a close game. It was not a close game. Three times ODU was inside the red zone, once at the five-yard line, an came away with only five points. With about 22 seconds on the game clock in the 4th, ODU scored a meaningless TD. Prior to that late score, the tally stood at 35-10. The Panthers had limited success on their short passes, but not so much with the bombs. Hillsdale's Sam Lee scored ODU's D with a couple of big catches inside the five. Herzog, you know that name, he scored five touchdowns to give him 20 the season, and tied for a national lead, so I'm told. End of story, end of season. Hillsdale winds up with a winning season at 6-5. See you folks down the line during the 2024 season.

Not going to drop the hammer on you just yet. But I think it’s time to change your handle GMACexpert. Can’t wait for next weeks pick. “I’ll take the bye week over Tiffin easily with a 45-6 prediction” 😂 Get on board and support the conference my man.

Tiffin is going to be the top seed in SR1. It's a big deal to have everyone coming to your field for the playoffs. This is a really good opportunity for both Tiffin and the GMAC.

                          Alright…
                          i was wrong…
                          tiffin was the real deal…
My vision was clouded by my hatred of the Tiff.
but at the end of the day, they stood strong through every challenge and emerged victorious. It seems to me as though Dbreath and other tiffin fans are vindicated. I would give anything to see tiffin win the Nat, because it would be good for the whole G-MAC. While I have to let my Walsh fanboy attitude die out a bit, it seems like it would be best for us all to back tiffin as they get ready to attempt the impossible: win the nat and perhaps “get the gat“ (https://youtu.be/_RdgtLak6YM?si=RUl2GaRitvT04nMe) in the process. Bein a Walsh fan has been painful… as painful as a botched lobotomy or perhaps seeing a family member I don’t feel comfortable around… but at the end of the day, it would let me sleep a little tighter at night if I knew one of our losses came to a premier div. II program. Even better would be to see one of these mfs in the playoffs get blown out by the same margin we lost to the big tiff.

Sorry mate but your words are still false. You just compared this team to the 2022 Minnesota Vikings, The vikings team who beat 9 opponents by a game winning field goal. Tiffins closest game was 8 weeks ago and it came down to our defense sending the Wolves back into their cage. Maybe we take a break from the keyboard and let the wife give it shot? Your takes are super poor with nothing to back it up. This is the BEST TIFFIN FOOTBALL TEAM IN HISTORY. Dropped almost 80 points in home opener (record) went undefeated and won the conference (record) Jumps up to the first seed and earns a first round bye (record) Breaks the single season school rushing record (record). You people don't know how to react to this Dragons team cause you have never seen it before LOL. And THAT is why this team is so dangerous. Nobody has any idea how good this team is, there is no previous playoff resume for this team. So how about we turn on some tape big fella, watch how the football team plays before we make unintelligent takes week after week. Just some advice. cheers
