I've made mention to this before, they don't recruit well and it shows! They also don't develop players which is a recipe for disaster. Almost time to roll the basketball's out 👍

As a coach, you can either recruit well or you can be expert at developing the players you recruit. If you can't do either, you end up were WLU is and has been for a long time.

For the last month they've had backups at a different position getting more reps with the first team than the actual starters at the position.

I believe you are echoing what other parents of these players are thinking. Maybe players transferring out might raise some eyebrows in the administration.

Nah... We've had All Americans transfer out and it doesn't seem to phase them. Clearly the Coaches don't care, the Athletic Department doesn't care, the President doesn't care and the Board of Directors don't care.

Yeah, I'm starting to believe that they don't care! But just like most WL fans do, I turn the page at the end of October and prepare for the pre season top 25 Basketball rankings lol. Another football year down the drain for the Hilltoppers.

I normally wouldn't root against the school that I support, but in this instance and in order to encourage change, I need Charleston to put a beatdown on WL. This might get Coach they heck up out of here.

My kid is on the team and root against them every week. Whatever it takes to clean house on this coaching staff.

It's Senior Day, so you start the senior qb, you don't play him the entire game unless he's your best option. If he is your best option why wait until the 9th game to start him???

38-0...Not too good. Toppers have given-up 30+ points in seven of their nine games. Not going to win many games doing THAT...PARTICULARLY when your offense is averaging 20 PPG.

2-7 on the year. To paraphrase Manager Joe Riggins in Bull Durham...2-7...How did we win two games? It's a miracle!

Going back to the 2020 year, which one is the covid year, WL has won 21 games. Subtract the 5 wins against Wesleyan during these years and this leaves 16 wins mostly against teams with very poor records. The 16 wins against other poor teams (excluding Wesleyan) divided by 6 years calculates to be 2.7 wins a year over these years. What other school would keep a coaching staff this long?

From what information that I could gather (since I refuse to watch or attend another WLU football game until there is a head coaching change), the team looked lifeless and uninspired. Yes, Charleston is good, but sheesh it seems like it was a D2 program vs an NAIA school. Welp there is light at the end of the tunnel and it happens on Friday lol. I will be back on the Hilltop to watch the men's basketball team help me forget all about the that football club team!

If the administration really cared about the football program, they would relieve the head coach of his duties right now and see what you have with the assistant coach as an interim. Let's get ahead of the process and curve because recruiting is going to be of extra importance.
