Shippensburg announces hiring of new offensive coordinator, Jesse Correll (from Shepherd).
Does anyone have any idea how often PSAC FB teams raid one another for the big three coaches, HC, OC and DC.? Because the RAMS are technically not in the league yet, rules, written or traditional, don't apply. But it seems a rude way to welcome SHEPHERD to the league. Is it common, rare, unheard of ?? Just asking.

Still wearing his Shepherd coaches shirt...PRICELESS!!
I'm almost sure he's renting and since he is known to hop around I'm sure Coach Mac has a list of potential candidates if he did jump ship before the season or right after the season.
I don't get the issue with this guy hopping around? That's the norm in the assistant coaching world.
Why in the world would he want to stay at a job making $35,000 a year when he's obviously in demand to go elsewhere and make much more? Goodness. He's not a priest assigned to a church. The goal is to get paid. Do well at Ship for a year and on to the next one. Not a lifestyle for everybody but that's the profession they chose. IUP has a new assistant basketball coach yearly. The majority of D2 assistant coaches have one goal ... get out of D2 as fast as possible. There's only a few programs in the entire D2 world that pay assistants 'somewhat' well.
He's probably commuting, still plenty of time before August rolls around to make another move. Who knows maybe Shep will counter offer and he'll be back before fall camps open

You want stability in your program which allows you to build success. When one of your top 3 is a one and done, that isn't conducive to building a stable program. There are offensive players on the team he left that will now be playing under their 3rd OC...there are players in this years recruiting class that he recruited that are now left hanging...there are players that came in last season because of him that are scratching their heads on weather to stay or maybe they should transfer.
Not saying he shouldn't do what is best for himself but I would imagine he is developing a reputation that COULD affect him in the future. Once you hit the OC level, HC's that are going to consider hiring you are probably going to want a little more than a one year commitment from you. If your history says you bolt the first chance you get, they may look elsewhere.

Jesse was the OC for 2 months essentially. He never was the OC during an actual game. The voice Shepherd has heard since 1998/1999 is McCooks and since he's the HC, he'll probably still be the voice they hear.
If Jesse gets offered another spot next year at Towson or another step up with a monetary raise he should take that job too and not give a hoot about what we message board idiots think about it. Get your money!
Looks like Ship has added another coach to its staff. KiJuan Ware is now the RB/Recruiting Coordinator leaving GSC member Shorter University as their OC/QB/Recruiting Coordinator for what is probably a small pay raise in addition to less responsibilities. Shorter seems to be the GSC version of our beloved Cheyney, the whipping boy for the conference so let's see how well he recruits for Ship and how he incorporates his schemes and coaching into the RB's.
