Re: Ship OC
Raiding players would be a major problem. Coaches are open season.
The life of assistants is really kind of a transient lifestyle. In most cases if you want to keep moving up .... you have to keep moving.
If the salary numbers above were correct .... not sure how Shepherd expects to keep any coaches whom have any experience level.

Just asking.

Re: Ship OC
I don't get the issue with this guy hopping around? That's the norm in the assistant coaching world.
Why in the world would he want to stay at a job making $35,000 a year when he's obviously in demand to go elsewhere and make much more? Goodness. He's not a priest assigned to a church. The goal is to get paid. Do well at Ship for a year and on to the next one. Not a lifestyle for everybody but that's the profession they chose. IUP has a new assistant basketball coach yearly. The majority of D2 assistant coaches have one goal ... get out of D2 as fast as possible. There's only a few programs in the entire D2 world that pay assistants 'somewhat' well.

Not saying he shouldn't do what is best for himself but I would imagine he is developing a reputation that COULD affect him in the future. Once you hit the OC level, HC's that are going to consider hiring you are probably going to want a little more than a one year commitment from you. If your history says you bolt the first chance you get, they may look elsewhere.

If Jesse gets offered another spot next year at Towson or another step up with a monetary raise he should take that job too and not give a hoot about what we message board idiots think about it. Get your money!

Re: Ship OC
Looks like Ship has added another coach to its staff. KiJuan Ware is now the RB/Recruiting Coordinator leaving GSC member Shorter University as their OC/QB/Recruiting Coordinator for what is probably a small pay raise in addition to less responsibilities. Shorter seems to be the GSC version of our beloved Cheyney, the whipping boy for the conference so let's see how well he recruits for Ship and how he incorporates his schemes and coaching into the RB's.
