Digalbo didn't play QB today. It took them a while to get on track. I think KU is pretty good. WCU hasn't played anyone yet, so we'll see.

Proud of our Vulcans today. Played a good solid game on both sides of the ball. Looked a bit better in the 3rd quarter than the first two games. Defense was solid. Offense lit it up big time.

Yes, they did look good and I don't care about Ship's defense because Cal shredded them like a good offense should against a weaker defense. Should be a good one next week vs Edinboro.

Hard to say. Ships tackling was horrendous - maybe just one of those days - Cal was scoring on Bubble screens and slants - plays that should have gone for 5 yds. The teams that Beat Cal didn't look that good, with Gannon giving KU a hard time, and ODU losing to Hillsdale.

Haven't been keeping up to date but how does a SHIP team take down SRU one week and then get annihilated by CALU the next. Possibilities....SRU isn't that good....SHIP isn't that good.....CALU is getting better after a tough start....one of those days.
MITCHELL moving up is a good possibility unless he has a strong sense of loyalty to DUNN for giving him this shot. Never could grasp why he didn't have any apparent interest from at least some FCS schools. If he does stay he could be the best VULCAN QB ever. Certainly would help recruit top notch WR if they knew he'd be throwing to them.

The answer to that has a little less to do with Cal than you might think. Ship's Achilles heel was uncovered in the second half of the Slippery Rock game, and the Vulcans pounded away at it (to their credit). Momentum played a big role, too.
