He throws a lot of 50/50 balls. He puts up great yardage numbers, but he'll always have high interception numbers throughout his career. He's got a good arm, but I wouldn't say all of those throws were all him. He had a lot of help from his receivers. There were a lot of plays where guys just managed to come down with it when the coverage couldn't have been better. On a given week, four of those passes can get picked. Not saying he's not good, I'm just saying he should be more careful where he throws the football.

You don't think he throws a lot of 50/50 balls? Threw a bunch of picks against Boro on those 50/50 balls. Sometimes they get caught. Sometimes they fall harmlessly to the turf. Sometimes they get picked. He'll put up numbers, but he'll also get picked a lot.

Boro played off the receivers, and gave up alot of easy yards to short passes. Mitchel and the receivers played much better against IUP. a couple of boro's picks came from missed catches, Cal had 14 completions, the real killer being the 51 yds to Hill - circus catch there. It got Cal back into the game.

Circus catch is a term used by the team getting beat. You catch it or you don't. The 'how' is irrelevent.

IUP dropped a sure pick six in that game on a short pass to the IUP side of the field.

True, you make those catches, you win. What percent of the time do you think he catches the same pass though ?

Hard to say. For purposes of IUP ... doesn't really matter now. I know one thing for sure ... the Cal WR from New Kensington had a field day on the IUP secondary.

You said yourself most of the 4 picks for edinboro were missed catches. So no.
