After watching a full game of Valdosta and Ferris, I'm going to give the edge to Ferris. Ferris can definitely compete with Valdosta speed and Ferris offense should be able to do what they want to Valdosta Defense. Score 32 - 17 Ferris State.

Hats off to a classy group of FSU fans and players. Like two champion boxers, both kept fighting throughout the game and getting back up when knocked to the canvass. Though there were some missed calls on the part of the officials benefitting both teams, this should not overshadow the fact that both teams gave it their all, and left it all on the field. Non-deserving teams don't go undefeated on the season. As a VSU alumni, I've seen many talented Blazer teams on offense and defense, but never have we had a more balanced team on both sides of the ball. I was surprised at VSU's in ability to get the run game going, and FSU's ability to run so well against the Blazer defense. Having a team comprised of mostly freshman and sophomores was never more evident than in the Championship game. We must remember these are still young men... who make young mistakes during the game. Based on the points scored, hands down, FSU was the most complete squad VSU has seen on the season. Well done FSU. You will grow from this loss. VSU has been here five (5) times before. Though we have had lots of success, nothing stings like the 2002 Finals loss to Grand Valley.

Absolutely. The last few years the games have been pretty blah. I expected Ferris and Valdosta to put on a hell of a show and they didn't disappoint.
