Back when I was growing up and getting into football in the latter 1970s the number 32 (along with 12) was considered to be very elite. All the good players wanted to wear it. Jim Brown, O.J. Simpson, Franco Harris, O.J. Anderson, Marcus Allen, et. al.

I recall longtime IUP broadcaster Jack Benedict making reference to his like of the number as well. Guess we are old school in that regard.

Wonder what number Quentin Maxwell will wear? I would assume #7, along with DB JR Stevens.

Why did Brown change his jersey number yet again? I think this is his third numero. I thought he looked good in the 32.

I could see that ... not like the playbook is rocket science. Short yardage and let's dance. He's a house one on one.

The transfer qb or maybe the fb could do short yardage but brown shifting to rb is a good option too

According to the roster Brown is listed as a WR. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want Brown in the backfield. However, if the WR situation STILL not up to par then Brown will remain at WR.

With Kellar there was like 3 players on the whole defense from the wpial Same with offense

Kids have heard of IUP and Cal. Sure. But, both are a last resort for the 'D1 dreams' kid.

You have to remember on this forum we are all actual D2 fans. Aside from us everybody else views this as glorified high school.

I have no problem with that BigIndians. My concern is short yardage situations. And unless they plan on using Brown for that as well as WR duties, I think IUP has a problem.

Well ... Tort all but said he's the best WR on the team. I beleive it. Dude is an athletic freak and can fly.

Remember he was the only one giving our new star DB (LIU) fits in the spring.

If you use the 2005 season as Cal's turning the corner year ...

Since then, Cal leads the series over IUP, 11 to 4. The average margin in those 15 meetings (including the playoff game) is incredibly close -- regardless of who won.
