2022 Non-Conference Games

Elizabeth City State (D-II - NC): Elizabeth City State is searching for a Week 1 opponent for 2023/2024. 2023 must be a home game for ECSU. Open to all levels, but D2 school is preferred. Interested schools can contact Elizabeth City State University football staff at [email protected].

Shepherd is finishing up the home and home with SCSU in week 1 this year. Not sure if that had been posted yet or not.

Honestly, I wish that the season was a week longer so each team could have a bye week in the middle of the season.

That's pretty much what they do every other division - FBS schedules 12 game in a 13 week calendar; FCS plays 11 games over 12 weeks; D3 plays 10 games over an 11 week period. But, D2 allows for 11 games without an open date (though quite a few schools only play 10). Then again, some schools can't seem to schedule an 11th game under the current scheme; how would those schools pull that off with an extra week (depending on how each individual conference chooses to factor in a potential NCAA-mandated bye week)?
