    He was dismissed from the team but to my knowledge he was not dismissed from the academic institution. He may have been, eventually, but when he left (on his own accord) he hadn't been.

    Mercyhurst was crushed on social media for their handling of this situation and their rather tongue-and-cheek public comments.

        Entitled scumbag? No doubt.

        But, he didn't murder anybody. It's not rape, etc.

        He's going to get a little misdemeanor, pay a fine and maybe do some volunteer work.

        He's not getting a life-time ban from the NCAA or getting black-balled by every school in the country.

        His actions were awful but legally he'll get very little.

        In a different country they may cut off his legs. But, not in our legal system.
