Agree- A QB like Bagent (especially at the D2 level) doesn't come around that often - if ever. A few thoughts regarding the culture of the team -- This may just be the 'parent' in me but what's up with the OL and their undershirts hanging out -- You have one with a white one, gold one, black/blue one -- dress how you feel.... they look like $^%&&. Also, you want to do your curls and slam the weights down when they do something good - how about some push-ups when you screw up? I've only watched the games via my laptop but I never see the HC fired up - may not be his ammo to get the team excited, but some of them need a kick in the butt --- He appears to be too involved in the offense only -- understanding he's 'trying' to give the OC playing calling duties but we know he's too involved --- I still believe he is an OC and that's his fit - HC may not be it and there's nothing wrong with admitting that --

I had abandoned watching D2 football for the day and had no idea that IUP had lost to Edinboro. So I retract this statement, although if IUP beats Cal they could squeeze in. Shepherd is not going to beat Kutztown AND ESU. Might get 1, but nobody knows what we are going to get week to week with the Rams this year.

If you've followed Shepherd for the last 30-40 years, this is how the program has always been. Monte Cater was not a boisterous or chew a kid out type of coach either. Stoic and maintained composure throughout. He also had an offensive background and left the defense to the DC. Ernie McCook took over, with the same DC held over from Cater's last 5-7 years in coach Josh Kline (who also has been at Shepherd for 25 years or so now). Kline runs the defense and Ernie basically runs the offense. It's just always been this way, and its been quite effective for the last few decades.

Ernie is now 57-15 as a head coach through last weekend. This is his 6th season as (7th if you want to count 2020) the HC, and he's got 4 playoff appearances with 2 Region titles to his credit. To say HC may not be it, is pretty ridiculous. Even the great Monte Cater had a few below expectation seasons, and Ernie has not had anywhere near those types of years in his tenure yet. They are going to happen though, and hopefully he can rebound to get back to the standard. The season isn't lost at this point, but there is no room for error now. If we end up losing 4 games and go 7-4, it's not the end of the world.

Not an intelligent comment. Shep qb was leading the entire psac in qb efficiency rating (PSAC). Was completing 70% of his pass attempts and stands 3rd in PSAC in total passing. If that is not capable...what is?

Eye test? That has absolutely nothing to do with results. I just gave you some facts. You gave "eyes test? You sir are not that intelligent. Offer facts not your arm chair Madden eye test.

                First eye test - 6’ 188 lbs..
                Pass Eff - 48th
                Completions per game - 28th
                Passing yards - 47th
Passing yards per game - 48th
                Scoring Offense - 72nd
                Total Offense - 57th
                Passing Offense - 60th
                First Down Offense - 102nd
                3rd Down Conversion Percentage - 53rd
                4th Down Conversion Percentage - 111th

Since I’m not very intelligent I looked past my eye test at the stats. He’s not capable of running Shepherds Offense at a consistent level. He can make a play here and there but not good enough to win against good teams..

As for your "Eye Test" ...Here is the 2022 Harlon Hill Winner Sir. Shorter AND lighter than Shep's current QB. Go back to your parent's basement.

                    QB 5'11" 180 lbs

Wonder if the 6'0 QB from Lock Haven who shredded Shep's defense to the tune of 400 passing yards ...IN THE SECOND HALF passes "The Eye Test?"

Once in awhile you have an outlier like Matocha who passed the eye test by his play, Powell doesn’t as his stats indicate. PSAC stats are meaningless in the grand scheme of things if you’re looking to compete in playoffs which should be your goal.
I really don’t have anymore time for this as I’m leaving my primary residence for my secondary waterfront residence on the bay. I think I may take my boat out and enjoy the rest of week …whose the idiot😂

At the D2 level it happens way more than once in a while.
