Not even close. Nobody in this conference is fully funded. IUP is probably in the vicinity of 25 +/- 5. Gannon might be at 30 +/- 3 but that's Kohls Cash and coupon codes.

You’d think one or two would leave for reasons ranging from being disgruntled to wanting to play closer to home. Shepherd’s long list is most surprising to me.

From the school and fans perspective, this is a sh*t show. It is now impossible to build a program in the traditional sense at any level other than top of the P4.

Anyone skeptical of the portal should check out these kids recruiting trails. Many have G5 offers and nearly all have FCS offers. We are the minor league.

Paserk already transferred in from Lackawanna, and played in 2 games. Not much to judge him on. There were 4 other kickers injured too. Crews was the best DL if he goes. Bowes missed nearly 2 of his 4 years with injuries, but would have been nice to have back for a 5th. It seemed the new offense didn't use TE much until injuries took out the wr core.

The market is flooded with kickers. They won't have any trouble finding one.

I think he must have good coaching skills. He beat IUP this year and almost came back and beat SRU (national semifinalist).

The coaching search should be in interesting but I think a home run hire is a longshot. The fact that Nulph gave up on it is telling. If you are a Boro player right now, there is no certainty.
Edinboro is capable of making home run hires. In the last 25 years, they've hired Lou Tepper and Justin Lustig who both quickly turned Edinboro into a strong team. Yes, I know Tepper didn't do well at IUP but he was B2B PSAC West Coach of the Year before then. All the others were internal hires and Nulph. Nulph had lots of upside but only emerged after some bigger name targets declined interest.

Other than the specter of the merger, I think Edinboro is more attractive now than it was when Nulph was hired. New field, recently redone locker rooms, etc. The hardest things are that the existing scholarship totals are low for the conference and the coaching salary pool is also low for the conference. Its a great stepping stone opportunity for someone like Mulrooney was a few years ago.

A lot of these kids have a year of good film and can elevate from a 5 percent sliver to a much larger scholarship.

I’m curious to see if his salesmanship is enough to get the WR, Young, an FCS look and if not what happens. Does he welcome Young back or tell him to find some other D2 to finish his collegiate career at?
Young is gone. He has almost 2 handful of FCS offers (Youngstown State, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee Martin, Bryant, Murray State, Campbell, Austin Peay, Gardner-Webb & New Hampshire)

The rbs are ok at catching balls out of the backfield. Saw them vs Slippery Rock this year. They caught a few bubbles and texas routes. They were proficient. But you are right. Powell did a great job of distributing the ball to both wideouts and the rbs!
33 points per game up there this year. Went to national playoffs again. Took a last pass of the game by Tyson to beat them in Shepherdstown a couple years ago.
