That’s the kind of game SR1 winners need to have a chance. Rock took advantage of the turnovers and mistakes early, but unfortunately made too many of their own in the second half. They had a legitimate chance to win that game despite not having the same type of top-end athletes, or at least as many of them. Hopefully that gives the next representative, maybe Rock again, confidence that you can play in this game and not just hang in there but have a chance to win.

The announcers were mentioning how some of the Ferris players had experience at schools like Michigan, and Rock hung with them the whole way. I know it was a loss, but they represented the region well, better than just about anyone expected they would.
Long and Ramper were really something today.

That wasn’t the case yesterday. Offensively, they found a few areas that they could exploit and took advantage of it. It’s unfortunate the two pics in the end zone happened, but who could have predicted that?

Yes, absolutely the right call. It is maddening in hindsight that this was the sequence that turned the game. That first drive of the second half was exactly what the Rock needed. To grind away nearly half the third quarter and come away with any points at all is just massive. A touchdown may have just about ended things. Instead, a call you almost never see leads to the game being turned on its head.

Congrats to the Rock and SR1. Sometimes you gotta make people put some respect on your name (or Super Region). They way they played definitely did that. For 50 minutes of that game, they told the rest of D2 to "suck it".
