That's exactly it. This is all about "owning the libs." Rooting out liberals in every facet of this country as if they're criminals.

Eliminating any sort of protection to que er & trans people means they'll be less comfortable and less visible.

Eliminating recognition of diversity and learning about different perspectives means people will speak up less and we'll have a more uniform society.

Eliminating liberals in the government and education by tricking them into taking buyouts or eliminating their programs and jobs so public employees are only those who further American exceptionalism and/or Christian nationalism.

A frequent MAGA slogan is, "We're not going back." Yet that's the very strategy - taking our country back to the pre-1970s era when women didn't work because they were busy raising kids, there was no diversity, and our country was so dominantly white and Christian that it (unjustly) infiltrated every facet of society.

Without getting political, and just looking at the first couple of weeks of the implementation, I think it's safe to say that there will be tons of cuts to higher education, and we may be seeing the last breath of some individual sports, as well as institutions as a whole. However this country comes out on the other side, the sports landscape will never be the same.

My point is there are those who voted a certain way to get the chaos and disruption against others but then get mad when the targets don’t roll over.
