Surely IUP could fill up two of them.

I had no intention of making the trip but now it turns out I may be returning from Delaware on Saturday if a few things fall the right way. If the timing works out, I think I’ll go.

They updated it to slot The Haven back to the West and Scranton U in the East.

It figures we play at West Chester on 9/12 because I already know I’m invited to a family wedding that day at White Manor Country Club..hoping it’s at night and I can sneak to the game for at least a half…

That's a tough one. Those walk-ons always seem to be at their best early.

Well, the rumor is Miller Stadium is (finally) getting new turf this Spring.

I have always wondered how good the replay is at the D2 level. It is not like these games are on ESPN, where there are 18 different camera angles for the officials to use.

Also, why has IUP struggled in the running game this year? We have a great passing attack, but it would be nice to run the ball more.

I thought our defense was better than how we played against Clarion yesterday. I think the mobile quarterback really hurt us.

Well, elite mobile QBs light up most teams - in stretches.

You best not miss when you have a shot (as we saw yesterday when that play broke down and then Guerrcio took it 70 yards).

The issue for them, however, is they take a lot of hits. They almost never play a full season.

Regardless, it won't be a pleasant film review session. Tort is going to hammer them about that first half.

IUP does not have a championship caliber defense. It’s really that simple. They can certainly be better than they have been though and they’ll need to be on Saturday to have a chance.

We'd also be naive to think missing Logan Goodwin yesterday wasn't a major blow early in the game.

He's probably going to win West Defensive POY. IUP isn't just plug and playing a replacement for him.

It certainly took them awhile to adjust to him not being there.

The last TD was on the kickoff team. I can't pin that one on the Defense.

They have been good in stretches but good teams have certainly scored on them. Luckily they have an explosive offense this year.

Speaking of being exposed, that’s a two way street as Larry Wilson just provided the blue print of how to expose that defense a week before the state game and 2 weeks before playoffs. Not great timing especially considering that Ktown’s offense is very similar to CU and the QB plays exactly like Guercio as I believe has been mentioned on here before. Have to think that gives them a huge advantage game planning for this week. That defense is suspect if you know how to attack it, that’s not a secret anymore.

It hasn't changed in 20 years. I don't think there is a secret.

My son plays for Clarion. Kids love Larry the parents love Larry. Speckman was atrocious as OC. My son told me that one of the reasons he left IUP was because they wouldn't let him run the style of offense he wanted. Glad he is at Clarion.

Good to hear that it has been a good fit for both. Sad to hear that his time at IUP didn’t work out as expected for him.

This will be IUP's fourth big game of the season. It's also an older team. They'll also have back a couple key guys who didn't play yesterday.

They aren't going out there to roll over.

Tort scares me in big games when he's favored. I love him in big games as the underdog.

Not saying they will, but IUP certainly has a shot in this one. Bloomsburg exposed some flaws yesterday - flaws that IUP can really pounce on.

The "interception" in the end zone was one of the worst calls of the year (says a lot).

Not only was the (flagrant) PI missed but the defender had both feet out of bounds when he caught the ball.

Total embarrassment for the league.

Replay was a waste of time. They had no angle of it.

Well that phantom block in the back on the punt return was pretty bad too. That call took Clarion out of great field position going down the stretch. Agreed the officiating needs improvement. Every game has bad or missed calls and officials huddling for minutes. In one game the umpire asked my son what the down was. Just bad.

Good win. They all are and you can’t take them for granted. How they got there was interesting. Defense was atrocious early almost as if they were unprepared for what they saw. Obviously adjustments were made. Special teams weren’t great. Offensively it was another pass happy day. I get it, that’s a strength, but they’re going to need more balance if they hope to make any kind of a playoff run. I thought they abandoned the run too early and at some points Clarion just ignored play action. I also didn’t think Rueve had a great game accuracy wise but he still put up video game numbers. And oh…that officiating crew was a real clown show. Nothing new there.

I have no idea what to expect next week. IUP is probably the best team Kutztown has played but they’re still a 7 point favorite in my opinion. IUP has a history of playing well in this spot, but they’re going to have to be way better than they were yesterday.

I hope he stays. MU looks like a big rebuild. Every school has transfers but they had a mass exodus over the last few years.

True but you have to strike while you're hot in this racket. As far as D2 coordinators go, he's hot right now.

Being an OC at Clarion doesn't pay many bills. But, maybe he doesn't want the headaches of the big chair.
