Saint Augustine's no longer in CIAA

I am surprised that this hasn't been mentioned already here but the CIAA Board of Directors announced last month that it would not extend the membership of Saint Augustine's in the conference going forward. Saint Augustine's had already been suspended from conference play in 2024-25 but is now out of the CIAA altogether.

I'm not positive, but I think someone on this board (maybe in the Moving Day thread) mentioned that they were shutting the school down. That would knock them out of the CIAA and out of business in general. I hate to see colleges and universities shut down but it's becomming more and more common. :(

"The Board approved indefinite suspension of Saint Augustine’s University, noting the ability for the board to lift the suspension at such time the university proves readiness to fulfill and maintain a holistic NCAA Division II athletics program, in accordance with NCAA and CIAA bylaws. St. Augustine’s University was previously suspended from conference participation for the 2024-25 academic year."
