So far one player from WSSU has entered the portal. OL Zaire Falls as a Grad Transfer. I am sure there will be more, the same as when the new coach take over there will be some to come with him as well as, some players within the CIAA looking for a new start. Personally, I am just excited for a new start with a new coach for my Rams!!

I agree, Callen2525, with turnover comes change! The new HC at WSSU prayerfully will bring some talent with him but its only normal to expect that we will lose some players via the portal. I was critical of Massey over the years, and a change was absolutely warranted. However, I pray that this accelerated search yields the right fit for our university and program. There are a lot of WSSU alumni names being floated for the position, and I'm not opposed to them, but also please don't pass up a proven winner just to appease the base! That's the trap I could see us easily fall in to. Either way, we'll know in a couple of weeks!

        Rams 4 Life!

Agreed! I too hope that they do not overlooking a proven winner trying to get an alum. I personally want the most qualified that gives WSSU the best chance at success. If we get both, I'm happy, if not oh well. I am tired of losing, especially when I know we should win (Shaw). Go Rams!!

The WSSU HC search portal was open for just five (5) days. There were fifty (50) applicants that applied! At least four (4) of those fifty are alumni. So, with that much interest this will be an intense hiring process. What i was told is that the coaching selection will be announced the first week no later than the second week of December. The AD search is slated to be filled in January 2026. Rumor mill also says that Dylan Lee (QB) told teammates that he could return depending on who was chosen as HC. Not sure if that's true, but I'll hold out hope!

Yes Daylin did state as did everyone else but Aaron Foster,Falls & Christian Mcdonald they would return dependent upon who the new HC would be. Also the top 4 candiates that applied are 1.Woodbury 2. Fields 3. Tripp 4. Barnette. All being interviewed last week or the upcoming days before thanksgiving. With a promise to invest more scholarships and assistant/part time coaches salary pool.

I see where Daylin Lee has an offer from Tennessee State! I am sure that is enticing but being so close to passing records at WSSU will be a tough decision. The record means your name being the standard for some time to come! Just saying!!

Davion Moore and Jordan Amadi are not Bluefield State players. For Bluefield State you can add LB Nolan Meehleib, DB Samuel Olokeogun, QB Isaiah Teal.

Good catch - they are Bowie's players. Added the others. Olokeogun just got to B-State this year.....
