You know, I was thinking the same thing. VSU is going to fun away with it, or UWA is going to keep it close and anybodys game,

Blazers sure like challenges. This game will be a good one. Hope they are all are working hard this week to defend the home turf.
I expect will have another good crowd Saturday.

Looking at the list of stations carrying this game, it should be one of the largest ever for a GSC regular season game. I seriously doubt GSC Game of the Week(ESPN3) draws what potentially this one will.

It is incredibly selfish to plan things during football season, but you are a good son.

Go Blazers, Braves , Falcons, Hawks and Jackets!

I thought he was hurt in the game, but looked back before I posted and saw that they were still throwing to him early in the 4th quarter.

Knew he was out some in subsequent games.

Boyd is a beast. Don't know if he can be stopped, but hopefully we can find a way to at least limit his production. As mentioned earlier, he's not the only weapon. Just one of several.

I'm already game day excited about this one. Both teams will find out a lot about how good they really are on Saturday night.

            Go Blazers!!!

Hopefully we can disrupt their rhythm on offense to the short stuff and keep penalties to a min. and we should be ok.

Watching the coach's show, I like that frown (it may have even bin a scowl) on Coach Goff's face when he mentioned penalties. Maybe our 9 year run of outdistancing our opponents in penalty yards will now come to an end.

In looking over the GSC stats release, I saw a couple of things that stand out for this game:

WEST ALABAMA TEAM STATS VALDOSTA STATE
                        41.0 Points per game 43.0
324.5 Passing Offense yards per game 286.5
133.5 Rushing Offense yards per game 220.0
16.0 Points Allowed per game 12.0
240.5 Passing Defense yards allowed per game 138.0
99.5 Rushing Defense yards allowed per game 93.5

Some of those numbers may be skewed due to the types of offense the opposition ran, but I am somewhat shocked at the passing yards allowed per game differential. UWA also has no interceptions whereas VSU has two.

UWA is gaining more yards through the air, but VSU is out-rushing UWA significantly. When looking at total offense, VSU has gained 49 more yards per game.

UWA had three blocked punts last week. Two were by one player turning into 10 points. I don't know if the other block turned into points or not.

Hopefully just an omission, but the VSU/UWA game Saturday is NOT listed on WPCH TV schedule.
