This ASUN/WAC/UAC scheme will end up leaving the ASUN with seven active members, so that could be a bit of a problem when it comes to being recognized as a D1 conference.

The sooner they do, the better; the UAC is at least at eight, which, unless I'm missing something, is the current threshold to be an active D1 all-sports conference. It's the ASUN who's probably going to be scrambling, unless they can pull some magic with the NCAA.Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!

Unfortunately, I really don't forsee any long-term solutions as to where GSC as a football conference survives beyond the next year or two.

Also, based on what I'm hearing, VSU will remain in Division 2 as a football independent or start things new by joining an established regional conference (possibly for football only).

I think VSU can find itself in a new conferenceMavs > Everyone

I'm feeling more and more like we are starting to watch the GSC Football farewell tour this season (and possibly next).

As long as they can schedule the required amount of games, I don’t see the GSC football teams ever needing this newly implemented AQ. It’s basically Earned Access with different wording.
Finding opponents (which they did for this upcoming season) is all that matters. Even if UWF goes, the GSC is stable in all other sports. The GSC football schools are in a unique situation, sure but it’s no reason for any of these schools to explore other conferences just yet.
Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!
