When I was there we had students from all 50 states.. Granted my roommate at the time was the sole Alaskan on campus but it still counts, I guess. I would say Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee make up about half of the student body. And like D2 said, a small few are there studying ministry.

I am curious what draws so many students their? The Cost of attendance is much higher for a similar state school degree. I can understand scholarship from sports or academics, as well as a few only in the state programs. But like SAU would be cheaper to get a Business degree than Harding for example.

It's also cheaper to get a degree from Memphis than it is Vanderbilt.

That's my point Fred. No reason getting a degree like business from Harding, your not getting any better of education. Now I know there is some really good Master stuff at Harding, but still can't figure out why go to Harding for something like Teaching. Guess if you have the money and if you just want to.

I'm not denying that SAU has some good programs or any of the sort. But to say SAU and HU are on level playing field across all academia is a bit naive. I won't deny the fact that something like teaching is silly to spend that much money on to make little money. HU strong suits lie in their sciences, though. Both undergrad and professional level.

Oh ok, I think that was what I was looking for. I know someone that Graduated from SAU and is now at Harding for Pharmacy School. I know Harding has some high academic standards, but just didn't know what those were. I will say, it's cool they have a hotel on campus.

Another factor to consider is the costs of other 4-year schools associated with the Church of Christ. Abilene Christian University (FCS) costs almost twice as much per semester as Harding. Pepperdine University (CA) is almost 4 x.

I have a teaching degree, and it doesn't matter where you get it. The return on investment is poor.
