I'm actually making the trip down from OK to the NMU game tomorrow. Probably won't get another chance to see a UP team play football in Texas. I was looking forward to watching the game at Ratliff Stadium, but found out the other day that it's actually the one game this year they're playing at Grande Stadium in Midland.

Wayne St. (Mich.) @ Truman - Not sure that Wayne has many winnable games on their schedule but this may be one of them. Wayne really, really struggled on D vs the 'Rock. Hard to get a great read on Truman with their opener being versus Drake. If this game was in Detroit I would say that Wayne would have a shot but Truman is a very tough road trip logistically and Truman is well coached. Truman by 14.

Tiffin @ Saginaw Valley - I think that this game could go one of two ways. A close game that goes down to the wire or a big win by Saginaw. I think its still early to get a good read on the Brady led Cardinals but they are the more talented team top to bottom. Tiffin has a solid offense but was a little underwhelming in my opinion vs Northwood in week 1. SVSU by 10.

Ashland @ Walsh - Walsh isn't good enough for Ashland to have much of a hangover effect from a tough week 1 game. Walsh has played decent D from time to time but I don't see them moving the ball a lick vs the Ashland D. Ashland by 28.

Davenport @ Lake Erie - Lake Erie actually surprised a bit in week 1 by hanging in a game but they have perennially been one of, if not the worst team in D2 since leaving the GLIAC. Ford has a huge game in this one. DU by 31.

Michigan Tech @ McKendree - Another game I could see either way. Tech is on back to back longish roadtrips but that isn't all that new to them. McKendree has better athletes than Hillsdale but the Dale is better coached so it will be a different type of that Tech sees. I like Tech in a tight one. Tech by 3.

Northern Mich. @ UT Permian Basin - Long trip to Texas from the UP but it will be a great experience playing in Ratliff Stadium. Permian Basin is slowing improving as a program but aren't quite built up for the D2 game yet. It was a good game last year, and I think Northern is improved more as a program since last year. NMU by 17.

Northwood @ Findlay - Findlay was for sure my biggest surprise of last week, I didn't think that they had it in them to take FSU to the wire like they did. As long as they can avoid a big letdown from the loss they should be able to handle Northwood at home. Northwood has a tough 0-2 start vs former GLIAC foes. UF by 21.

Delta St. @ Grand Valley St. - Delta rolls into Allendale with one of the best defenses that GVSU will face all year. It will be a good early challenge for the young but talented GVSU O. The big question is how well the Delta O plays. They were able to move it at times last year, especially in the QB run/scramble game. Bussing all the way to Allendale is going to be a big hurdle to overcome in my opinion as well. I see a close game till midway into the 2nd Half with GV pulling away late. GV by 21.

Ferris St. @ Central Wash. - I've been back and forth on this one all week. It looks like Campbell is going to give it a go but it is unsure how much he will be used. Hard to see him not playing the majority of the snaps with Russel hurt. Central Washington was extremely impressive against an Idaho team that still has a number of players that were recruited to play FBS football. If Campbell is close to his usual self I give the slight edge to the Bulldogs but if not I have a hard time seeing them flying out to the west coast and beating a very good football team. I think this game is going to be a shootout either way. FSU by 7.
