If the announcers don't see something how does it effect the game?

Nah, they might be staying in some nice digs for the GV contest.

          • What depresses me about watching this is knowing that there’s no way Ouachita measures up once the big dance happens this year

Hopefully we can at least win a playoff game or two and dodge Ferris for a bit

Not to mention a bigger crowd than what the Allendale Fire Marshall will let into Lubbers.

              • This is what happens when you have skilled players, but are not disciplined. We should have/would have won this game if not for all the stupid penalties.

They certainly would have had a better shot at success if they cleaned it up earlier.

Missoula>Allendale in that regard. Most visiting teams stay at the high end places.

                      And I dislike Missoula.

Ok performance by the pups. (Come on, you know I can't say something nicer about these pups. LOL)Still, penalties are haunting. As for a week off...didn't you mean 2 weeks off?

Definitely need to clean some penalties up - very impressed from the defense...

Did Northern lose to a D3 team today.... WTF... we have to protect our division.

                            • Montana knows they got away with one. Like I said before, you can't beat a team like that with 15 penalties. But reality is there is no way to prepare for an environment like that. Even the Montana players made mention how they knew we would have problems with the noise because we just don't see crowds that big. There were some homer calls/no calls but that's to be expected. They weren't going to let a D2 team come into Montana and take out the state U. Plus we got a few that went our way as well so that was a wash. That 3rd quarter killed us. And can't have 1st and goal from 4 and get no points.

FSU is right. We need to add some more screens to the playbook. Teams are going to load up and make us beat them with the pass. Might have gotten away from the outside run game too much. Defense definitely showed out. 84yds rushing and 105 yds passing on their home field.. They were avg 167 and 235 coming into the game. Got a little worn down in the third though.

Hard fought game. We were in it til the end. All being said, think the boys represented D2 and the GLIAC well.

After all the bourbon consumed last night watching this game - We had to figure a way to either run some screens or drop a TE in to block - they had all out blitzes from LB on the 3rd and 4th downs... Defense looked great - to give up only 17 points at Montana - depth plays a big difference later in the game and Montana's team speed on defense will not be seen at any D2 school. Great game. then the end of the colorado vs csu game - great night of watching football.
