I'm sure that they will be rooting for their little brother; yet, I wonder if they will use the sideline pass that former Bearcat players receive or sit in the stands in the northeast corner with the Mules fans? Bearcat fans better pack the house. Biggest FB game in the MIAA this season! Will the Mules take all the marbles, or will they have to share them with Northwest?

True, but 'gunslinger' sounds cool. The Ft Hays kid is probably more the gunslinger type

Your analysis of the Mules seems spot on and I hope you're right that the Mules still have not peaked yet......Maryville will be the time to start bringing the Mules 'A' game for 4 quarters. This is set up perfect for Bolles 3.0 (the Central gunslinger) to win his final conference game at the place where his brothers had so much success wearing the green. Maybe a little spooky for Bearcat fans.....?

I have had my season tickets for the past 30 years. The guys are doing a lot of things right...and as scary (or stupid) as this may sound...not sure we have seen a "complete game" yet. I am sure someone will correct me...just not sure any come to mind against quality teams. At MoWest...we played a complete first half...then disappeared in the second to hold on OT to win. In the game against Hays...Zach Davidson could be the season MVP with his bold call to fake punt...that 22 yard scamper turned that game and maybe the season. At MoSo...we played terrible D in the first half, but the O was on fire (and the D was better too) in the second half. At Emporia...we played just well enough to win. But last week was a hell of a comeback. It would be something special if the Mules are able to cap the season off with a huge victory next week up north. Don't get me wrong...it has been an exciting season...just not sure we have peaked yet.

Reminded me of the Arrowhead game a couple of years ago... a game NW really had no business winning. How do you get beat with a bomb in that situation? Obviously it happens. Just a brutal way to lose a game... lining up to kick the winning FG, you're at worst thinking OT, knowing that your kicker has already missed 2 XPs, but still hopeful because you're in position to win. Even after the block, you have to feel pretty good about OT, but nope... that's tough.

We'd probably be thrilled to see our B game show up on offense. It's the C, D, and F that sometimes has found it's way to the field we need to avoid!

But, the Mules have lived on the edge a few times this season and keep finding different ways to win. It's exciting, but it makes me nervous as we approach the post season. The Mules definitely have their mojo working and luck on their side, but I would like to see the Mules take control earlier in the game..
