Coach Bradley has had challenges thrown his way after that dumpster fire of a head coach. Who hired sims? that AD needs to go on probation.
That AD is no longer at MSSU. He "left" in the same time period that Sims did.

      • I have seen UNK play a few times this year and the D has defintley passed the eye test so when I went and checked on the confernce stats I was not surprised.

UNK Defense is DOMINANT! The 4 losses have all been on the road and their defense held each team to less than 20 points (any points over 19 were opponent defensive TDs) FACT
You hold a team to19 points or less you should win the majority of those games FACT

As of 10-28-25 UNK Defense Leads the MIA in Sacks, Turnovers, Interceptions, Fumble Recoveries, 4th Down Conversions and Red Zone Defense - WOW

They are second or third in Scoring Defense, Total Defense, Rushing Defense, Passing Defense, they have also recorded 3 defensive TDS which happens to lead the conference as well - this is all done with what appears to be an offense that struggles on the road to put it nicely.

Say what you want about the UNK but this Defense is DOMINANT and they have played more than well enough to win every single game this year.

They are very good. Imagine what they could do if the O could even do enough to give them a break.

That's the thing with this team since Harris got injured. They could very well still be in the playoff hunt if the offense was even average. But it's been so bad that it has wasted what has been an outstanding season by the defense.

Pitt and NW have both been there. Harding and GV, too. Hopefully it's temporary.

The offense has been pretty bad all 3 years under Held. I might drive into the numbers after the season to see if that's just how it's seemed or if the statistics back it up.

It's quite shocking when you take a step back and look at just how bad the offense has been since Harris went out... and the defense - wow. Not much more to say. They get the job done for sure.

Yes, this is not an anomaly with Held, this is just Ryan Held football. I've been following them pretty close on offense since he got there and watching the recruits he brings in, and he is simply not building a strong offensive system that has improved year to year. And that was with Davis at QB his first season. Held is now the QB and TE coach, in addition to being head coach, which is stretching yourself too thin. How effectively can you work with the QBs and TEs at each practice and oversee the entire program?

I think he needs to take a long look at his offensive coaching staff and consider some changes in the offseason. They also need to grab a few high impact transfers and up their recruiting standards in the high school ranks.

He's also the play caller. I agree that he should delegate some of those tasks and look into offensive staff changes, because it's not working.

I mean no disrespect to Marty - he does a great job - but it says a lot about the state of the team when the punter is the player of the game from the previous game and the one spotlighted leading up to this weekend's game.

                              • What a win! I will admit when it was 17-0 I thought UNK was cooked. Man has UCO gone backwards this season.
