So far it doesn’t seem like being away from coaching for a few years has been an issue for Johnny Mac.

This team matched RW’s ‘24 win total in 7 games. The new mindset of the
team/locals is such a pleasant surprise.

I’ve solved the issue of lousy student attendance…from this point on the east stands are the visitor’s side and the west stands are the home side. I’ll no longer mention ‘student section’ as it’s their loss if they don’t come out and watch this team.

HCRW chose to tie his tenure to Sturdy. He was given outs and didn’t take them. Excited to see where HCJM takes this team this year and beyond.

Anyone have a post-game update on Carter Edwards? I didn’t catch the post-game presser, so no idea what his status was.

he was poorly coached his entire career. there was enough there to do more w/ than we did.

I mean, yeah. He had and arm and could sling it, but he had no touch… Maybe if he had a decent QB coach or a guy like McMenamin, with his experiences, mentoring him, things would’ve turned out differently for him. We’ll never know, but most NW fans were pretty excited about Braden after his freshman year, because he could be electric with his legs and you could see the arm potential. It just never manifested. Anyway, sorry to bring up the past.

As much disappointment as there was in the way the hiring process played out, I’m glad AD stayed at UCO. That’s not saying anything negative towards AD. This way his legacy can’t be damaged here. We ended up Coach Mac, who’s hungry and excited… players seem to like him and he’s pushing a lot of the right buttons. He has this thing way ahead of the schedule I would have predicted.

This team is pretty fun to watch, especially the offense. I may actually go back to a game again.

UCM getting their yards, but literally throwing the game away to WU ... 6 pass interceptions. Ugly game for UCM.

Not really - we’re just seeing both our O and D hitting their stride against a good team.

Remember, this Hays team beat the then #5 team, CSU-P, earlier in the season.

Didn't matter today, NW had a great game.
How many holding calls did it take for Fort Haze to get cheated today?
