No one in Commerce is counting a quick/easy victory. My point was Tarleton fans on a message board are not remotely indicative of the team's mentality. No one posting from Tarleton will take a snap or make a play call...

Secondly, I wanted to make clear I am not supporting their view though. I hope we win, they lose and Azusa makes a return trip to Texas.

Yes, grading papers. Last 5, for now. Also, working in the library. Most students have Thanksgiving week off, but one group of graduate Spanish speaking theology students start their term today. Greek and Hebrew are fine, but my Spanish no es bueno; hablo un poco.

To be honest, slightly surprised that we are in the playoffs. Not that we beat CWU, I knew we could do that if the pieces fell into place (play calling, health, and very few penalties). I thought at the beginning of the season we could be a playoff team, but that hope faded as I saw injuries multiply and losing Weston Carr (as an every down receiver). I thought we made ridiculous errors throughout the season. Way too many penalties. And I really wish our OC would think 10 plays to a touchdown and not 3 plays for a first down. One moves you down the field and opens up the defense, the other just keeps your blinders on and moves you 4 yards at a time (which pulls the defense in tighter and makes even harder to move the ball 4 yards). Williams will be a great quarterback, if he is allowed to throw AND if he gets over first quarter jitters.

I'm glad they made. I hope for the best, but just hope my students stay well and enjoy the ride.
